Shakespeare Timeline

William Shakespeare
For 7th grade through Oak Meadow, I am studying the time period of Shakespeare. I researched and created a timeline of his life. As a resource, I used the website from shmoop. I thought he was a bit of a scoundrel not to leave something of more value to his wife in his last will. 


April 23, 1564
William Shakespeare born in Stratford-upon-Avon
April 26, 1564
William Shakespeare got baptized at Trinity church in Stratford.
April 30, 1569
William Shakespeare goes to school at King’s new school
November 28, 1582
William Shakespeare get’s married to Anne Hathaway
May 26, 1583
Anne has her first child and they name her Susanna
May 28,1585
Anne has twins! A boy and girl, they name the boy Hamnet and the girl Judith
May 31, 1590
Shakespeare enters his first play
Jan, 1693
plague closes the theaters
April, 1593
Shakespeare publishes a poem “Venus and donis”
1594
Theater reopens
May, 1594
Shakespeare publishes another poem “The rape of Lucrece”
Aug 11, 1596
Hamnet dies
May, 1597
