I have been learning about India this week. I looked up pictures of the Taj Mahal and compared them to pictures of other muslim buildings. The similarities I found were that they all have domes, spirals, and archways.
The basic Hindu religion is that they just think there's an all- encompassing force. They personify this force into individual gods or goddesses. The force can never be fully understood, but personifying it into gods helps the people unify themselves with it more.
Three most popular gods are:
Shiva known as the Creator and Destroyer. He destroys the old while bringing out the new.
Vishnu known as the Preserver.
Devi known as the Protecting Mother, and is the creative energy of the universe.
